2020 Year-End Message to all Onestop Accounting clients.

This last year has been the most challenging year of the 21st century so far, with COVID-19 forcing a change in how we live, work, and interact with others like never before in our lifetimes on a global scale. Families have experienced the loss of loved ones, supply chains got severely disrupted, businesses closed down, and individuals lost their livelihoods – all in a matter of months, if not weeks.

We have seen people coming together and assisting each other. Governments failed or were often slow to react to this crisis, and businesses pivoted to remote working and online sales quicker than ever. As is always the case, the poor and lowly skilled service sector employees suffered the most during this year. The hospitality and tourism industry and related sectors face even longer-term disruption.

Adaptability and embracing technology were crucial for surviving the initial impact of COVID-19 on business and allowing businesses to flourish in the future. If you own a business – take this time to relook at all aspects of your business and how you could use technology to realise sales from further afield and offer a better service experience to your clients and customers far and near.
